Sometimes I bake purely for the enjoyment of baking, not because I want the end result. I love the processes of beating butter and sugar for a cake, scooping cookies into perfect mounds and stretching then twisting dough for my buns. The end result is simply just a lovely added bonus.
HOWEVER these bagels are what I will drag myself into the kitchen to make because I can’t stop thinking about them, even when I really don’t fancy baking. They are so simple to make yet are insanely delicious.
Soft, pillowy and slightly sweet, the perfect base to an epic breakfast sandwich….or if you’re basic like me, just a heap of cream cheese.
